کوپر:	«تو یه دانشمندی، برند.»
برند:	«پس به حرفم گوش کن. وقتی بهت میگم عشق چیزی نیست که ما اختراع کرده باشیم -عشق مشهوده و قدرتمنده- حتما یه معنایی داره.»
کوپر:	«بله عشق معنا داره. فواید اجتماعی، پیوند اجتماعی، تربیت فرزند...»
برند:	«ما مرده‌هامون رو دوست داریم. فایده اجتماعی اون چیه؟»
کوپر:	«هیچی»
برند:	«شاید معنای بیشتری داشته باشه. چیزی که ما هنوز نمی‌تونیم درکش کنیم. شاید یه جور دلیل باشه، یه جور محصول از ابعادِ بالاتر که ما نمی‌تونیم بطور محسوس درکش کنیم. من در طول کهکشان شیفته‌ی کسی هستم که ده ساله ندیدمش و میدونم که احتمالا مُرده. عشق تنها چیزیه که فراتر از ابعادِ فضا و زمان می‌تونیم حسش کنیم. شاید باید بهش اعتماد کنیم، حتی اگه هنوز اون رو درک نمی‌کنیم.»

Cooper:	You're a scientist, Brand.
Brand:	So listen to me when I say that love isn't something that we invented. It's... observable, powerful. It has to mean something.
Cooper:	Love has meaning, yes. Social utility, social bonding, child rearing...
Brand:	We love people who have died. Where's the social utility in that?
Cooper:	None.
Brand:	Maybe it means something more - something we can't yet understand. Maybe it's some evidence, some artifact of a higher dimension that we can't consciously perceive. I'm drawn across the universe to someone I haven't seen in a decade, who I know is probably dead. Love is the one thing we're capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space. Maybe we should trust that, even if we can't understand it.

برون:«بچه‌ها اغلب از خودشون یه جزئیاتی رو سر هم میکنن که در واقعیت وجود ندارن. نمی‌دونم این به دلیل تخیلاتشونه یا اینکه حرفای دوستان و والدینشون رو تکرار میکنن. همیشه فرض بر اینه که بچه‌ها دروغ نمیگن، اما متاسفانه اونا اغلب دروغ میگن.»
